The fabric that these are made of is U.S. Cotton. It is woven into a muslin fabric. It gets boiled to set the size. Then it gets steamed, that gives it this crinkle affect that makes it feel heavier than it is, also this reduces contact with your skin that aids in cooling. Then, if it has been dyed, they get boiled again!

These have buttons on fly and at knee cuffs and hidden pockets.
